Art: Perspective & Victorian Architecture

(1)
This powerpoint presentation demonstrates the step by step techniques of drawing in 1 point and 2 point perspective. Essential vocabulary is introduced: linear perspective, vanishing point, orthogonal lines. The presentation progresses into identifying and drawing typical features of Victorian architecture. The final task is for pupils to design a Victorian house and draw it using either 1 point or 2 point perspective, including some typical Victorian features. My Y6 class have loved learning how to draw in perspective and have produced some amazing artwork. Any pictures used in this presentation were freely available online.
